"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it." C.S. Lewis

A New Beginning and Old Ending
It was beautiful
And painful
Everything that it should have been
I couldn't make the thoughts stop
Along with the tears
I remember everything
The past 9 years of being there
Always there for each other
Best friends
That white dress fit you perfectly
And lacing up your corset
One impossibly string at a time
Was the only place I wanted to be
It's the way God intended it to be
The joining in holy matrimony
And me
I'll go on
Visit on my holidays
Look at pictures of cook outs
In your new back yard
Wishing I was just as much a part of your life
As I was when we were 13
Knowing that we will always love
With the new beginnings and old endings
